Climate change?
Climate change is a term we
hear more of lately. This year alone, countries around the world are setting
temperature records. In the US, we are having unprecedented flooding and are setting
heat records almost daily and it’s all being blamed on climate change.
I think a lot of things are
blamed on climate change when there are other explanations.
There was a volcano that
erupted on January 15, 2022, in the Pacific that
caused a tsunami and a sonic boom that circled the Earth twice, and was
described by the local government as "an unprecedented disaster." It
increased the water vapor in the
stratosphere by about 10% and scientist
said it could increase surface temperatures for years. So, it’s increasing
temperatures for years and all that water has to come back down to earth sooner
or later. I wonder if this is driving all the record setting temperatures
and flooding, we have had this year and not climate change?
Not one politician or
scientist has mentioned it that I can find. Wonder why that is? Could it be
that they can’t get money for it if it was caused a natural event?
We are being told by our
politicians and scientist that since the
1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily
due to the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas) and that we need to
convert to electric power to save the planet.
When I was a little boy in
Louisiana it would get cold during the winter, and I can remember freezing my
but off for weeks at a time. Then a few years later, if we got four or five
days when the temperature would get below 32 degrees during the winter, it was an
unusual event. Now it’s going back to more colder days. I don’t blame that on
climate change, that’s just the way earth changes. Just look around. We have
deserts that were once oceans and rain forest that was once deserts. Why is
that and what happened?
