2022 world championships

My wife and I watched on TV as American Sydney McLaughlin broke her world record to win the women's 400 meter hurdles at the 2022 world championships in Eugene Oregon. For the fourth time in 13 months, the 22-year-old McLaughlin set the world record. That was an amazing race to watch as the second place finisher wasn't even close when McLaughlin crossed the finish line.

The South Korean high jumper, Sanghyeok Woo finished second in the high jump with a jump of 2.35 meters. Came up just short, but we were happy to see him get the silver medal.

All of the athletes are just so talented that every event is won or lost by fractions of seconds or inches.
